Clocks change in Spring and Autumn

Remember - "spring forward, fall back"! (Fall = Autumn).

Clocks move backwards one hour on Sunday 25 October 02:00 BST** (01:00 GMT). The UK will be on BST (British Summer Time), so clocks will change at 2 am on Sunday 25th October.

Future dates

2010: the Sundays of 28 March and 31 October
2011: the Sundays of 27 March and 30 October

For other countries, clocks are also changed, for example:

European Union - many countries change their clocks on the last Sundays of March and October.
North America and most of Canada change clocks on the second Sunday in March and the first Sunday in November.
Egypt, Namibia and Tunisia are the only African countries to follow daylight saving.
New Zealand and parts of Australia are the only countries in the region that put their clocks forwards and backwards.
