This attractive weather station with a modern design and a clean finish, can be fixed to an outdoor wall so that you can track of changing weather conditions. This weather station lets you monitor the temperature and humidity and also advises you of the weather expected on the barometer. This weather station would be suitable for home use, or may be used in a school situation.

Notes about the weather station:

The barometer has to be adusted to your local altitude. Ask for the atmospheric pressure of your home area (local airport may have information). A small screwdriver is used to adjust this. The manufacturer recommends wrapping the instrument once a year in a piece of moist cloth for 30 minutes to maintain accuracy.

How the barometer works

The barometer measures the atmospheric pressure in millibars (mb). The atmospheric pressure corresponds to the weight of the surrounding air mass and depends on the weather and the altitude. Changes in pressure can be measured and help forecast the weather.

Increase in pressure: fine weather
Rapid increase: short period fine weather
Decrease: bad weather
Rapid decrease: thunderstorm

About the hygrometer:

The hygrometer measures the relative humidity. Certain plants prefer humid or less humid conditions.
